In these one-day workshops, participants learn to create custom silk couturier flowers one petal at a time. Beginning with hand painting the petals, you will then shape each petal individually using heated irons*. Using the methods and tools evolved by the earliest makers, you will be able to produce a light, airy and most gossamer sampling of silk roses like those you can still find today by master fleuristes in France and New York.

Perfect for trimming hats or adorning a bodice, you can use these techniques to create endless varieties of cut and shaped flowers that have been used for generations in trimming graceful and elegant apparel.
